Will you be competing in the 11th FAI Women’s World Gliding Championship at The Gliding Centre, Husbands Bosworth, UK? If so, we invite you to visit us in 2020 for the:
HusBos Challenge Cup International 2020 – 18-26 July 2020

We are delighted to invite all our overseas friends to The Gliding Centre in 2020 for the HusBos Challenge Cup International. We hope you will join us! Liz Sparrow, British Team member and Competition Director for WWGC2021, will be directing this competition giving you a great opportunity for training and familiarisation in preparation for WWGC2021. The HusBos Challenge Cup is a very popular, friendly but hotly contested handicapped competition which uses Distance Handicapped (variable barrel) tasks enabling everyone to race in the same area. Precise class and task arrangements for the HusBos Challenge Cup International 2020 will depend on entry numbers and glider types. Local Rules will be published in Spring 2020.
Entries are NOW OPEN – Entry fee is £215 which includes membership for the week before the competition for those wanting more time to explore the UK’s soaring conditions. We have reserved some places for our international friends so to secure your place on the entry list please register at
Accommodation – there are several options including camping, club rooms and caravans on-site. There is a caravan site adjacent to the airfield and several local B&B and hotels – we’ll post more information on the website shortly but meanwhile if you want help with this, tick the box on the registration form.
Glider hire/loan/swap – if you won’t be bringing your own glider, let us know when you register and we’ll try to help.
